Acme Personnel, 1979. These four black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show three women and one man posing together and individually for photos. From left to right, in the group photos, these people are: Laurie Ross, Helen Stoutnar, Bob Curtiss and Lois Young. All of the photos were taken in an office with wood paneled walls and ceiling. Image 15 shows the three women and one man posing together for a photo. The first woman on the left has short, wavy hair wearing a collared blouse with a loosely-knit scarf around her neck. Her hands are folded on a counter in front of her. The second woman from the left is wearing a floral print blouse or dress and has short, very curly hair. The man is third from the left, and he has a mustache and is wearing a blazer, dress shirt and tie. The tie has diagonal stripes and dragons on it. The woman at the right has slightly wavy, chin-length hair and is wearing a vest over a blouse or dress with a string tie at the neck. All of the people are staning behind a wooden counter. Two framed paintings or photos are visible hanging on the walls of the office. Images 16 and 17 are nearly identical to the previous image. Image 18 is very similar to the previous three images, but here the photographer has panned down slightly so that the top portion of a sign reading "acme" is visible on the front of the counter along the bottom edge of the image. Image 19 is nearly identical to image 18. Image 20 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has zoomed out slightly, making more of the acme sign visible. The sign reads "acme PERSONNEL." Image 21 is nearly identical to image 15. Image 22 shows the man with the mustache (Bob Curtiss) posing individually for a photo. The man is still in the wood-paneled office. He is shown from the mid-torso up. The woman with the knit scarf is visible standing in the background in the bottom-left corner of the image. Her left hand is on her hip. A typewriter and desk calculator are visible in the bottom-right corner of the image. Image 23 is very similar to the previous image, but here the woman in the knit scarf's left arm is held against her torso. Image 24 shows the woman with the vest and blouse with the string-tie neck (Lois Young) posing for a photo. The background is the same as that seen in the previous two images of the man, but the woman with the knit scarf is not in this image. Images 25 and 26 are nearly identical to image 24. Image 27 shows the woman with very curly hair and flowered blouse or dress (Helen Stoutnar) posing for a photo. She is looking toward the camera and smiling. Images 28 and 29 are nearly identical to the previous image. Image 30 shows the woman with the knit scarf (Laurie Ross) posing for a photo. She is looking toward the camera and smiling. Her left arm is resting on top of the counter seen in images 15 through 21, but the counter itself is outside of the image frame. Images 31 through 33 are nearly identical to image 30.
