Olympia Port Commissioner Candidates, 1979. These three black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show six men (Bill Evans, Jim Wright, Jeff Harris, Henry Scheller, Jerry Christensen, and an unknown man) posing separately for photos. All of the men are shown from approximately the waist up.
Image 28 shows an older man (Bill Evans) with his hair combed straight back on top and very short on the sides. He is facing directly toward the camera, and he has a very slight smile on his face. He is wearing a coat with one pocket on each side of the breast, over a collared shirt. The coat is buttoned almost all the way up. His hands are folded in front of him at the waist. He is wearing a nametag on his left breast which reads "Mr. Evans." Image 29 is nearly identical to image 28. Image 30 shows a man (Jim Wright) with his hair combed back wearing a blazer and tie. The tie has a diamond-shape pattern on it. This man's body is turned somewhat toward the left-hand side of the image. He is looking toward the camera and has a large smile on his face. Image 31 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 32 shows a man (Jeff Harris) with his hair parted toward the left and a large mustache. He is wearing a blazer and a diagonally-striped tie. His body is turned somewhat toward the left-hand side of the image frame, and he is looking toward the camera. His left arm is bent at the elbow and he is holding his left hand in front of his stomach. He is not smiling. Image 33 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 34 shows a thickly-built man (Henry Scheller) with his hair slicked back and to his right. He is wearing a blazer and a tie with diagonal stripes and small squares on it. He is not smiling. Image 35 is nearly identical to image 34. Image 36 shows a man (Jerry Christensen) with short, thinning hair wearing a blazer over a polo shirt. He is facing directly toward the camera. Image 37 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 38 shows an unknown man with his hair parted to the right wearing a plaid blazer and short, wide tie. He appears to be seated, and his hands are folded on his lap. He is smirking. Image 39 is very similar to image 38, but here the man is not smirking. Images 40 and 41 are nearly identical to image 38.
