Lacey City Council Candidates, 1979. These four black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show four men posing individually for photos. All of the men are shown from the waist up. Image 4 shows a man (Julio Silva) with his hair parted near the center and a mustache. He is wearing a blazer and diagonally-striped tie. His head and body are turned partially toward the left-hand side of the image frame and he is looking toward the camera. His hands are folded in front of him at waist level. He is not smiling. Image 5 is very similar to the previous image, but here Mr. Silva is smiling. Image 6 is very similar to the previous image, but here Mr. Silva is again not smiling. Images 7 and 8 are nearly identical to image 6. Image 11 shows a man (Delbert Chase) with hair parted toward the right and a mustache. He is wearing a blazer with a small plaid patterns and a tie. He is wearing a tag on the left breast of his jacket which reads "ELECT DEL CHASE CITY COUNCILMAN LACEY, WASH." His head and body are turned very slightly toward the left-hand side of the image frame and he is looking toward the camera. He has a small smile on his face. Image 12 is very similar to the previous image, but here Mr. Chase is facing the camera more directly and his smile is slightly more pronounced. Image 13 is very similar to image 12, but here Mr. Chase is not smiling and he is looking down and toward his right slightly. Images 14 through 16 are nearly identical to image 13. Image 26 shows a man (Dennis Ingham) with hair parted toward his right wearing a blazer with broad, diagonal stripes and circular design elements which resemble gears on it. His head and body are turned slightly toward the left-hand side of the image frame, and he is looking toward the camera. He has a very slight smile on his face. Image 27 is very similar to the previous image, but here Mr. Ingham has a slightly more pronounced smile on his face. Image 28 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has panned upward slightly and he is also smiling more broadly. Image 29 is nearly identical to image 28. Image 30 shows a man (Richard Bever) with thinning hair and sideburns wearing a blazer over a turtleneck sweater. His head and body are turned slightly toward the left-hand side of the image frame. He is looking toward the camera and he has a slight smile on his face. Image 31 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 32 is very similar to the previous image, but here Mr. Bever is not smiling and appears to be blinking. Image 33 is similar to the previous image, but here Mr. Bever's eyes are open. Image 34 is nearly identical to image 33.
