Description

Black and white photo of the ruins of a house. Beginning at the bottom of the image, there is grass, a dirt road, an iron fence, trees, and apparently ruins of a building. There is a white border on all sides, and in the bottom border is "#230' and "10/16/29". On the back is "2410". This print is inserted along with a negative of the image into a brown envelope that has typed "New Orleans--Ruins of Versailles Home which was used by Gen. Pakenham as his Headquarters during the Battle of New Orleans and where he died later. 10/16/29". Stamped is "230" and "indexed".
