Description

Navy blue wool long-sleeve shirt with a square middy collar. Small pocket on upper left chest with embroidered 3-leaf design at each end of slit. Chest seam comes down in a small "V" in front. There is a loop sewn on the center chest, probably to hold a scarf in place. Olive cotton drawstring in hem at bottom. Stamped "L. G. Fleetwood" in white twice on inside hem and once on underside of collar. Two holes on each side of hem. Two buttons on each cuff, three have an anchor and the fourth says: "Hart, Schaffner & Marx [star]". There are three blue "stripes" on collar which suggests that stripes were removed from uniform. Part of WWI navy uniform of Lyman G. Fleetwood.
