Description

The Taltons, 1979. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man (Ralph Talton) and a woman (Carla Talton) standing next to each other. The woman is at the left in all of the images, and she has chin-length hair parted to her right. She is wearing a plaid blazer and a necklace with no pendant. The man is at the right in all of the images. His hair is parted to his right, and he has a mustache and sideburns. He is wearing a suit jacket, vest and tie. The woman and the man are shown from the waist-up. Image 38 shows the man and the woman with their heads and bodies turned slightly toward each other. The woman and man are looking directly toward the camera, and both the woman and man are standing with their hands behind their backs. Image 39 is very similar to the previous image, but here the woman has turned her face slightly toward the right-hand side of the image and the man has turned his head slightly more toward the camera. Image 40 is nearly identical to image 38, but here the woman's head is oriented directly toward the camera. Images 41 through 44 and image 1 are nearly identical to image 39. Carla and Ralph Talton owned and operated Talton's Cleaning Service. These images were captured for inclusion with an advertisement for their cleaning company.
