Description

Clear glass Kerr one-quart wide mouth canning jar. The jar is cylindrical in shape with no screw threads. It has a brass lid attached by a metal clip retainer. On the lid is printed "Kerr Economy Jar Cap for all methods of canning." The mold seams on the side extend from a horizontal seam on the side at the bottom of the base and go up to but not over the lip. There is also a mold seam where the top meets the base and a second seam slightly below. Embossed: on the side: "Kerr" "Economy" "trade mark" and on the bottom: "Kerr Glass Mfg Co" "June 3 Patented 1903" and "Sand Springs Okla.".
