Description

Black and white negative of a cemetery in New Orleans. On the left is a white vault with flowers and a vase on the ground next to it. Beyond that is a large dark metal stanchion with chains that are attached but disappear out of sight to the right and left. Behind all that is a large structure with a white wall on the side and 16 metal doors on the front providing spaces for interment. The top of the structure has a gable roof and horizontal ledges that may have writing, but nothing is legible. There is a white border on all sides, and in the bottom border is "#247" and "10/16/29". The negative is inserted along with a print of the image into a brown envelope that has typed "New Orleans--St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 10/16/29". Stamped is "247" and "indexed".
