Description

Clear glass cylindrical liquor bottle with a straight neck above a rounded shoulder. Although there are screw threads at the top for a closer, there is a hand-carved cork inserted into the opening. A large (approximately 3") iron hook has been attached to the neck by wrapping wire around the hook and neck. A cloth has been inserted between the hook and the glass. Embossed on the side is "750 ml". On the bottom is embossed "L" in a circle, "84..84", "liquor bottle", "L-92540" and "12". There is stippling on the bottom around the edge. A protrusion (about 2") is molded onto the side near the bottom. Mold seams extend from the bottom up to but not over the lip. There is a horizontal seam at the bottom. This liquor bottle has been turned into an oil bottle for lubricating cross cut saws during logging operations. The hook permitted the bottle to be hung on a tree or log until needed.
