Description

Armstrong Williams, 1974. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man (Armstrong Williams) posing for photos in front of a blank background. The man has chin-length hair and sideburns. He is wearing a button-up shirt with a wide collar over a t-shirt. Mr. Armstrong is shown from the chest up in all of the images, other than image 9. Image 5 shows Mr. Armstrong with his head and body partially turned toward the right-hand side of the image frame. He is looking toward the camera and has a very slight smile on his face. Image 6 is similar to image 5, but here Mr. Armstrong has a much larger smile on his face and he is tipping his head to his left. Image 7 shows Mr. Armstrong with his head and body oriented toward the left-hand side of the image frame. He has a large smile on his face. Image 8 is nearly identical to image 7. Image 9 shows Mr. Armstrong from his belt up. His head is turned directly toward the camera, but his body is turned partially toward the left-hand side of the image frame. His hands are held behind his back. He is not smiling.
