W.J. Lynch and Unknown Man, Unknown Date. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two different men posing individually for photos. One of the men is W.J. Lynch, although it is not clear which. The man shown in images 30-32 has his hair parted toward his right and is wearing a thin jacket over a button-up, collared shirt. The shirt has a pattern made up of many tiny crosses with "c" shapes on the shorter arms of the cross. Embroidered on the left-hand breast of the jacket is "Bill." The man shown in images 33-35 is older than the other man, is balding with somewhat wispy hair, and is wearing glasses. He is wearing a half-turtleneck sweater under a thin jacket which also has "Bill" embroidered on the left breast. Both men are shown from the waist up in all of the images. Image 30 shows the younger man with his body turned toward the right-hand side of the image frame and his head turned toward the camera. He is looking off toward the left of the camera and appears to be speaking. Image 31 shows the younger man with his head and body turned toward the left-hand side of the image frame. He is looking toward the left-hand side of the image and slightly downward. He is smiling. Image 32 shows the younger man with his body turned partially toward the left-hand side of the image frame and his head turned toward the camera. He is looking toward the right of the camera and is smiling. His arms are held behind his back. Image 33 shows the older of the two men with his body oriented toward the camera and his head and eyes turned slightly toward his left and downward. He is not smiling. Image 34 shows the older man with his body turned most of the way toward the right-hand side of the image frame. His head is turned only slightly toward the right-hand side of the image frame, and he is looking toward the camera and smiling. Image 35 shows the older man with his head and body turned most of the way toward the right-hand side of the image frame. The man is smiling and his eyes are closed.Made/Created
