Description

Clear glass cylindrical jar with a screw-on lid that is concave and has a hole in the center through which a heavy wire handle extends above the lid with a right-angle bend and a curved bend for a handle; and also extends below the lid with a metal mesh at the bottom to form a plunger. There are mold seams on the sides that extend from a horizontal seam where the bottom is attached up to and over the lip. There is also a horizontal seam just below the threads. The bottom of the jar is concave to fit the plunger. Embossed on the side: "Wesson Oil Mayonnaise Maker" "Mayonnaise, an egg, 2 tablespoons lemon juice or vinegar, teaspoon each mustard salt sugar, dash of pepper, beat thoroughly as poured from can, 1 pint Wesson Oil."
