Description

Harris Hunter, 1977. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show an older man (Harris Hunter) with glasses posing for photos in an office. The man is balding and is wearing a pinstriped (the stripes are not evenly spaced) jacket and a diagonally-striped tie. Image 12 shows Mr. Hunter standing in front of a window in the office. There are blinds drawn down over the window, but the fins of the blinds are open. The Washington State Capitol Building is visible in the distance through the window. Mr. Hunter is resting his right elbow on the window sill. His body is oriented toward the left-hand side of the image frame, but his head is turned toward the camera. He is looking toward the camera and not smiling. He is visible from the waist up. Images 13 and 14 are nearly identical to image 12. Image 15 shows Mr. Hunter seated behind a desk. There are two short stacks of documents in front of him on the desk. There is a framed document hanging on the wall behind Mr. Hunter. This document shows portrait-style images of four men and one woman. The text identifying these people is not readable in this image. The window seen in images 12-14 is partially visible in the upper-right corner of this image. Image 16 is nearly identical to image 15.
