Description

Clear glass round half pint milk bottle with cardboard lid. This bottle has a "rim code" which was unique to west coast manufacturers in the 1920s. On the flattened finish of the lip there is a "6" on the left and a "8" on the right which means that the bottle was manufactured in the year 1928. Printed in red on the cardboard lid is: "Wash the bottle, return promptly, Pure fresh milk and cream." On the side is embossed "half pint" and an oval. There are mold seams on opposite sides that extend from the bottom up to but not over the lip. There are horizontal seams at the bottom and at the lip. On one side near the bottom is embossed "29" and "3" and "IPG" inside a triangle.
