Black and white negative of a portion of the California State Capitol in Sacramento. In the foreground is an "L" shaped sidewalk and some lawn with a sign and a stone post. There is a shadow of a lamp post on the sidewalk. The building is three stories of stone. Only the entrance portion is visible. On the ground level are three arched entrances. Above those is a balcony with a stone railing and stone columns supporting a roof. Both the second and third floor have arched windows. At the very left on the ground floor is a striped item that appears to be an awning. There is a white border on all sides, and in the bottom border is "#286" and "10/24/29". On the back is "2403".
The negative is inserted along with a print of the image into a brown envelope that has typed "
Sacramento--Front of State Capital 10/24/29". Stamped is "286" and "indexed".Made/Created
