Description

Four metal gimlet bits for inserting into a hand brace for use in drilling soft wood. The cutting edge on the bits is designed to draw the bit into the wood and push aside the fibers tather than cutting them. The cutting edge (gimlet) resembles a gentle spiral. At the other end, the round shaft becomes square and tapers toward the end. The bits vary in size but are shaped similarly.

04-16-15 The above diameter was measured where the round shaft becomes square. The other three bits vary in length from 4.5" to 5" and the diameters (at the measuring point) are the same as that entered above. rfj
