Arden's TV, 1973. These three black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show the tall exterior sign for Arden's TV, the exterior of the Arden's TV store, and one woman and four men posing together. Image 12 shows the tall exterior sign for the Arden's TV store. At the top of the sign is a rectangular section which reads "Arden's." Below that is a "T" and a "V" stacked vertically. Below that is a larger rectangular section which reads "MAGNAVOX STEREO TELEVISION," "RCA" and "COLOR." Below and to the left of these signs is a portion of the exterior of the Arden's TV store. A street scene is visible in the right-hand half of the background. There are many power poles and power lines in this street scene. Images 13 and 14 are nearly identical to image 12. Image 15 shows the exterior of the Arden's TV store. The exterior of the shop is made up of alternating sections of rock facade and thin vertical paneling. There are also many rectangular windows, and the glass double door of the store is at the left-hand end of the building. The sign described in images 12, 13 and 14 is visible near the right-hand edge of the image frame. Parked in front of the store is a Corvette Stingray with its front end oriented toward the left-hand edge of the image frame. Parked between the store and the Stingray is a van with "Arden's TV" and "RCA Admiral" printed on the side. Images 16-18 are nearly identical to image 15. Image 41 shows one older man (Arden Deering), one older woman (Armyn Deering) and three younger men (from left to right: Ron and Tom Deering and Gary last name unknown) posing for a photo. All of them are looking toward the camera and smiling. Arden and Armyn Deering are seated on a loveseat with a floral-print pattern. Arden is at left. His hair is combed back and parted to his left. He is wearing a corduroy blazer, patterned tie with a tie clip, a patterned shirt and slacks. His left hand is in his lap and his right arm is resting on the loveseat's armrest. Armyn is at the right. She has wavy hair and is wearing a top with a tie at the neck, frills down the front, and slightly frilled wrists, and slacks. Her hands are in her lap. The three young men are standing in a row behind the man and woman in the loveseat. The young man at left (Ron Deering) has medium-length hair parted toward his right and a handlebar mustache. He is wearing a patterned shirt. The young man at center (Tom Deering) has hair parted toward his left and is wearing a suit jacket and tie. The young man at right (Gary last name unknown) has wavy hair parted toward his right and is wearing a short-sleeved dress shirt. A portion of the interior of the Arden's TV store is visible in the background.
