Hodges Realty, 1979. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show one woman (Jackie Miller) and two men (Steve Garrett and Dane DeForest) working behind desks in an office setting. Image 31 shows a woman (Jackie Miller) behind a desk. The woman has wavy, shoulder-length hair and is wearing a jacket-like shirt with mid-forearm length sleeves. The woman is holding a pen or pencil and a clipboard with a document on it. In front of the woman on the desk are many other forms. There is a bouquet of flowers on the desk in the bottom-left corner of the image. Partially visible on the wall to the left of the woman is a sign which reads "...y homes" (the full sign reads "holly homes"). There are several framed documents or plaques hanging on the wall to the right of the woman. There is a window with the blinds down but open behind the woman. The woman is smiling and looking up and to the right of the camera. Image 32 is very similar to the previous image, but here the woman is facing more toward the camera. The "holly homes" sign is fully visible in this image. Image 33 is similar to the previous two images, but here the photographer has moved approximately two feet to their right. Here the woman is facing toward the left of the camera. Their are many documents hanging from the wall on the left-hand side of the image. Image 34 is nearly identical to image 33. Image 35 shows a man (Dane DeForest) with straight, medium-length hair and a mustache sitting behind a desk and speaking on a telephone. He is wearing a button-up, collared shirt with buttoned straps at the shoulder. He is holding the telephone handset in his left hand and is holding it to his left ear. He is holding a pencil in his right hand. The man is looking down toward what he is writing. A name plate is partially visible along the bottom edge of the image. There is a clock hanging on the wall to the right, and there are documents hanging on the wall next to the clock. There is a street scene visible through the window behind the man. Image 36 is very similar to image 35, but here the man is leaning back in his chair and is holding the telephone handset in his right hand. Image 37 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved approximately two feet to their right. Image 38 is similar to the previous three images, but here the photographer is standing at the left-hand end of the desk (to the man's right). He is holding a pencil in his right hand and writing with it. Image 39 shows a different man (Steve Garrett) seated at a desk talking on the telephone. This man has medium-length hair and is wearing glasses. He is wearing a plaid shirt over a t-shirt. The telephone is in his left hand and held to his left ear. The man is looking toward the camera and smiling. In the background is a fairly large office room with multiple desks in it. Image 40 is very similar to the previous image, but here the man has turned his head slightly toward the right-hand edge of the image frame. Image 41 is very similar to image 40, but here the man has turned his head farther toward the right-hand edge of the image.
