Description

Metal threading tool for placing threads on metal rods. The object is a metal rectangle with one stationary metal piece and three sliding metal pieces that have teeth for cutting threads. A rod may be inserted in any of three openings between the pieces which fit different size rods. A round handle extends from each end of the rectangle for leverage. One of the handles may be screwed inward to tighten the sliding pieces against the rod being threaded. Stamped on each piece is "70" and on two of the pieces is "14" and "10". Stamped on the other side of the same two pieces is "1/2" and "3/4". Stamped on the rectangle itself is what appears to be "70". Possibly belonged to Benjamin B. Turner, donor's grandfather.
