Evergreen Dairy, 1979. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two women and two men posing for photos inside of what appears to be a milk preparation or testing facility, and the same people posing outdoors with a cow. These people are likely members of the Weiks Family, owners of Evergreen Dairy. Image 8 shows the two women and two men inside the milk preparation or testing facility. At left is a woman with very long hair wearing a short-sleeved sweatshirt with a pocket at the front and slacks. Second from the left is a young man wearing a baseball-style cap with a patch with a cow on it on the front. He is also wearing glasses, a short-sleeved plaid shirt, and slacks or jeans. Third from the left is a young woman with hair curling away from her face at the sides. She is wearing a turtleneck sweater with very short sleeves, wide-legged slacks with a tie at the waist, and flat shoes. This young woman is considerably shorter than the other three people. At right is a man wearing a baseball-style cap with a patch with what appears to be a cartoon car or pickup truck on it. The man has long sideburns and is wearing glasses, a button-up work shirt with a name patch (not readable), slacks and boots. This man and the younger man bear a strong resemblance to each other. Stainless steel equipment, piping and hose lines are visible along the walls of the room. A trough-like sink is to the right of the man at the right, and it is partially obscured by this man. Image 9 is very similar to the previous image, but the photographer has moved several feet to their right. Image 10 is similar to the two previous images, but here the four people have moved to a different part of the facility. At the center of the group of people is a piece of equipment consisting of a stainless steel pot with piping and tubing running to it, as well as various metal supports. This image is oriented horizontally. Image 11 is very similar to the previous image, but here the image is oriented vertically. Image 12 shows the same four people posing in a field with a cow. From left to right is: the older man, the younger woman, the older woman and the younger man. The three leftmost people are largely obscured behind the cow from the chest down. The younger man is holding the strap on the cow's head. He is not obscured behind the cow. All of the people are drssed the same as in the previous images, but here the older man has put on a jacket. These people and the cow are in a field, and a house and two other large buildings are visible in the far background. Images 13-15 are nearly identical to image 12.
