Flat metal object with a ring on one end and a sharpened point on the other. At the ring end is a flat surface designed to be struck with a hammer so as to drive the pointed end into a log. Chains or cables were attached to the ring to hold logs together in a raft. Stamped on one side of the object is "S" or "9". The flat surface is slightly deformed as a result of being hammered.Made/Created
