Metal gauge for use in sharpening a cross cut saw. The object is a casting and has flat surfaces on three levels that are connected by vertical metal strips with a screw and locking washer at the top level; a screw on the second level; and a metal slot affixed by two screws on the bottom level. The object was used to guide a sharpening tool at the correct angle when sharpening the teeth of a cross cut saw. On a vertical face near the center of the object are embossed letters. They are difficult to read, but the word "Seattle" and "MORIN.." and the number "900" can be identified.
