Description

Bill Burrito Sign, 1979. This single black and white film negative strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show the tall exterior sign of the Billy Burritos restaurant. Image 1 shows the rectangular sign on top of a pole. The sign reads "BILLY BURRITOS." On the left-hand side of the sign are two cartoon people with mustaches each wearing a sombrero and sandals. A very small portion of a building and the top of a street light are visible in the lower-right corner of the image. Images 2-4 are nearly identical to image 1. Printed at intervals along the top edge of this strip is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063." Billy Burritos was located at 1015 College Street Southeast in Lacey, Washington. (Advertisement, Daily Olympian, 10/3/980) As of 7/1/2018, the location is now a Han's Burgers restaurant.
