Description

Sunset Air, Unknown Date. This single black and white film negative strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man and a woman posing for a photo with an HVAC or air conditioning unit outside of a building. The HVAC unit is at the center of the image. The man is to the left of the HVAC unit. He is wearing a short-sleeved, button-up shirt and slacks. He is crouching and his body is oriented toward the unit. The woman has short, very curly hair and is wearing sleeveless, knee-length floral-print dress. She is standing to the right of the HVAC unit. There is a metal gate at the left-hand side of the image. The building behind the man and woman is wood-paneled. Sunset Air is an HVAC and electrical company which was founded in Tumwater in 1976 by Pete and Kathy Fluetsch. The company relocated to Lacey in 1977. ("Sunset Air Moving," Daily Olympian, 9/9/1977)
