Description

Clear glass rectangular bottle. There are no threads for a cap; probably relied on a cork or stopper. There are mold seams on two corners that extend from the bottom up to and over the lip. There are also seams near the top and on the bottom. Embossed on one side is "Furst-McNess Co" and "Freeport, Ill". Embossed on the bottom is an "I" within a diamond, and a number "5". The marks together indicate that the bottle was made by the Illinois Glass Company at Alton, IL for the Furst-McNess Company. Bottle was found on the Kinney family property 920 Sleater-Kinney Rd NE, Lacey.
