Description

Clear glass round bottle. A little over half way up the bottle narrows to a small neck. There are no threads for a cap; probably relied on a cork or stopper. There are mold seams on the sides that extend from the bottom up to but not over the lip. There are also seams near the top and on the bottom. Embossed on the side is "Newbro's Herpicide for the Scalp" and "4 fl. oz." Embossed on the bottom is an "I" within a diamond. The marks together indicate that the bottle was made by the Illinois Glass Company at Alton IL for the Newbro Company. Bottle was found on the Kinney family property 920 Sleater-Kinney Rd NE, Lacey. The bottle was used by D. M. Newbro of Butte, MT to sell dandruff medicine.
