On one side only near the bottom is embossed "bottle design patent pending". On the bottom of the bottle is embossed an octagon with two "purex" words forming a cross at the "r" and 8 "purex" words around the outside of the octagon. There is a mold seam on each side that extends up to and over the lip, and a horizontal seam near the lip. On the bottom there is a mold seam around the octagon but slightly off center.
