Description

Don File Secretaries, 1979. These five black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using two separate film rolls, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are duplicated. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to the film roll from which they originally came. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images. The images in group "a" show five women posing for photos together in an office. There is a desk in the lower foreground on the image. The woman at the far left is wearing a floral-print top and a necklace. The woman second from the left is wearing a vertically striped button-up shirt with short sleeves. The woman at center is wearing a blazer with a patterned shirt underneath. The woman second from the right is wearing a horizontally striped shirt. The woman at the far right is wearing a floral print, long-sleeved top. The images in group "b" are very similar to those in group "a," but here there is no desk in the foreground and the women have changed positions relative to each other.
