Hallmark, 1979. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two women standing behind the cash register counter at a Hallmark store. The woman on the left has shoulder-length, loosely curly hair and is wearing a floral-print blouse. The woman on the right has shorter, wavy hair and is wearing a dress with buttons on the chest. Image 10 shows the two women standing behind the counter. The women are looking to their left toward the camera. The cash register is visible in the bottom-left corner. This image is oriented horizontally. Images 11 and 12 are nearly identical to image 10. Image 13 is very similar to the previous image, but this image is oriented vertically. The cash register is only partially visible in this image. Image 14 is similar to the previous images, but here the photographer has moved to their left by approximately four feet. Here the women are looking to their right toward the camera. Image 15 is nearly identical to images 10-12. Image 16 shows the women facing directly toward the camera. The photographer has also zoomed out or moved away from the women. Image 17 again shows the women facing directly toward the camera, but here the photographer has zoomed in on or moved closer to the two women. Here the women are shown from the waist up. The counter is not visible in this image.
A Hallmark store was located in South Sound Center. These images were likely captured in that store location. (Advertisement, Sunday Olympian, 12/10/1978)Made/Created
