Description

Zinc and glass lid for a canning jar. The gray lid has female threads to fit on the male threads of a mason jar. The top of the lid has a circle of 1.75". The inside of the lid has a white milk glass lining with the following embossed in capital letters: "genuine boyd cap for mason jars". A circle of 1.25" is embossed in the center of the liner. The outside of the lid has corrosion accretions and the inside is heavily corroded with accretions/powdery white spots. There is a red color at the sealing edge possibly from contact with a rubber gasket.
