Description

Zinc and glass lid for a canning jar. The gray lid has female threads to fit onto the male threads of a mason jar. The inside of the lid has a white milk glass liner. No embossings were detected on the lid or liner. The lid has concentric circles of 1" and 1.75" on the top, and the liner has concentric circles of a similar size. The zinc is heavily corroded, particularly on the inside with accretions/powdery white spots and also rust. There is some red coloring at the sealing edge possibly from contact with a rubber sealing gasket.
