Description

OUTI Open House, 1973. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man examining a wooden stake which he has pulled out of the ground while one woman and two men watch. The man holding the stake is balding and has a mustache. He is wearing glasses, a jacket and vertically-striped pants. He is kneeling down in all of these images. A second man wearing a denim jacket and jeans is also kneeling down, and he is holding a large, folded piece of paper in his right hand. The standing man is wearing a blazer and tie. The woman is wearing a thigh-length coat over a floral-print dress. All of these images were captured outside of what appears to be a home or small office. Two pickup trucks are visible parked in the driveway of the house or office. Image 14 shows the man holding the stake at the far left, the man in the blazer second from left, the woman second from right, and the man holding the document at the far right. Image 15 is nearly identical to image 14. Image 16 shows the same scene, but here the photographer has moved to their right by approximately six feet. Image 17 is similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved an additional two feet to their right.
