Description

Zinc and glass lid for a canning jar. The gray lid has female threads to fit onto the male threads of a mason jar. On top of the zinc is embossed "Ball". There is a 2" circle impressed on the top. The inside of the lid has a white milk glass liner with the following embossed in capital letters: "genuine zinc cap for mason jars". The liner has a 1.25" circle in the center. The zinc is corroded with accretions/powdery white spots. The sealing edge has a red colored mark possibly from the rubber sealing gasket it was used with.
