Description

Zinc and glass lid for a canning jar. The gray lid has female threads to fit on the male threads of a mason jar. The inside of the lid has a white milk glass liner. No embossings were detected on the lid or liner. The lid has concentric circles of 1" and 1.75" on the top, and the liner has a 1" circle. The zinc is heavily corroded, particularly on the inside with accretions/powdery white spots and also rust. There is distinct red coloring at the sealing edge, possibly from contact with a rubber sealing gasket.
