Description

Pressed paper-pulp one-dozen egg carton with a folding top. The carton has 12 separate spaces for whole eggs. The spaces are separated by cone-shaped center divisions and small walls. The top of the carton is printed in orange ink. On the top are silhouettes of chickens and other farm images and the words "One Dozen Eggs. Stamped in ink is "Yates AA Large Eggs Olympia, Wash. 98503". On each side of the top is "One Dozen Eggs". Pressed into the closing flap are the numbers "138". According to a tribute in the file, the Yates Egg Farm was located on Carpenter Road in Lacey.
