Description

Wooden plaque with a brass plate at the bottom and a barometer at the top. On the plate is inscribed "Lacey Community Improvement Award, June 11, 1987, Pioneer Award, A. G. Homann, City of Lacey. Developer, Mayor & Friend, Sponsored By Civic Committee, Lacey Rotary Club." At each corner of the plate is a brass screw with decorative design underneath. The corners are cut in a decorative bevel. The wood plaque has a wide border created by four black grooved lines, each line overlapping at the corner. On the back are two long rectangular cutouts, one parallel to the top and one parallel to the right side. The back of the barometer is visible, including three brass screws and one silver colored, presumably for calibration. In the center, askew, is a shiny silver sticker with "Congratulations from Tags Trophies, 3643 Pacific Ave, SE Olympia, WA 98501 - (206) 491-2525". Posthumously awarded to A. G. Homann.
