Description

Terri Short, 1976. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a young woman standing in a field with a bicycle. Image 40 shows Ms. Short standing in the field with the bicycle. Her head and body are turned partially toward the left-hand side of the image. The bike is on the woman's right-hand side and she is hanging onto the bike's handlebars with both hands. She is wearing a denim jacket over a horizontally-striped polo shirt and jeans. Her feet are just beyond the bottom edge of this image. A wall of a brick building is partially visible in the background. Images 41 through 43 are nearly identical to image 40. Image 44 is very similar to the previous images, but here the young woman's head is turned more toward the camera. Printed in alternation along the right-hand long edge of this strip is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM." These images were created for inclusion with an article concerning Terri Short leading a cross-country bicycle tour. ("Lacey girl will lead bike tour," Lacey Leader, 6/16/1976)
