Ruth Weisberg, Marble Elegance Owner, 1974. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a woman (Ruth Weisberg) posing for photos. This woman has short, wavy hair which is swept back from her face. She is wearing a horizontally-striped jacket. Image 5 shows the woman with her head and body turned partially toward the left-hand side of the image frame. She is smiling slightly, and is shown from the mid-torso up. Several vases are visible on a shelf behind her. Image 6 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has zoomed in on the woman. Image 7 shows just the head and upper shoulders of Ms. Weisberg. She is smiling slightly and her eyes appear to be closed. The ceiling of the room is visible in this image. Image 8 shows the woman with her body oriented toward the camera, and her head turned partially toward the right-hand side of the image. She is smiling slightly. She is shown from the mid-chest up. Image 9 shows the woman from a raised perspective. She is not smiling, and a shelf with vases on it is visible in the left-hand half of the image. She is shown from the mid-chest up. Image 10 shows the woman from across the room. Her head and body are oriented toward the right-hand side of the image. The camera is looking at the woman over the tops of several vases. Image 11 is similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has lowered the camera by several inches. Image 12 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved to their left slightly. Marble Elegance was located at 504 S. Washington Street in Olympia, Washington.
