Shoot the Deschutes, 1976. This single black and white film negative strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images shows group of children standing on a bridge and next to a river and holding flotation inner tubes with "SHOOT THE DESCHUTES" and "TUMWATER ROTARY" painted on them. These images were captured along the Deschutes River. Image 20 shows seven children of various ages standing in a row along the rail of a river. They are all facing toward the center of the bridge. They are each holding an inner tube. This image was captured from the bridge. Image 21 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 22 shows the children still standing along the railing of the bridge, but here they are facing outward. This image was captured from beyond the railing of the bridge. This image looks down the length of the bridge. Image 23 shows three children, all holding the same type of inner tube seen in the previous images, standing on the bank of the river. The river is on the right-hand side of the image, and the children on the riverbank are on the left-hand side of the image. The child at the center of the group is pointing toward the right-hand side of the image frame. Image 24 is nearly identical to image 23.
Printed in alternation along the bottom edge of this strip is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."Made/Created
