Wood and metal (copper) printer's plate used to transfer an image to paper. The copper plate has been engraved with an image and is intended for use in an offset printing press. The plate is attached to a wooden block with small nails so as to fit in the printing tray of the press.
This plate was used in printing the Lacey School annual "Rosebud". The image is 9 drawings of persons in different situations with humorous comments underneath. In the top row is a seated woman with the caption "Fat." Then two persons with the caption "Lovers." Then a person with a book and the caption "Reader." In the second row is person sitting at a desk and the caption "Sleeper." Next is a person with a broom and the caption "Janitor." Next is a diagram and a skull and the caption "Dangerous." In the bottom row is a man holding his nose and looking at flowers with the caption "Pew." The last drawing is of two girls with the caption having musical notes and the word "Yeow." and another caption saying "Singers."Made/Created
