Description

Wood and metal (copper) printer's plate used to transfer an image to paper. The copper plate has been engraved with an image and is intended for use in an offset printing press. The plate is attached to a wooden block with small nails so as to fit in the printing tray of the press. On the back of the wooden block, partially covered by other paper, is a printout of the image on the plate. This plate was used in printing the Lacey School annual "Rosebud". The image is 14 small photos. In the top row at the left is a group of students holding books and below is the word "Studious." Next is one boy with the caption "Dutie." Next is 4 girls with the caption "Decjaimets." In the second row are four women with the caption "Office." Next is a single person with the caption "Sleeper." Next is 5 persons with the caption "Our Gang." In the third row is a man and woman with the caption "What??." Next is 2 persons with one holding a basket. The caption is unreadable. Next is a man with the caption "Boss.' Next is 2 women with the caption "Look Out." In the bottom row is a slanted photo of a woman, photo of 3 people and the caption "Big Feet," a photo of 4 persons, and finally a slanted photo of a woman. At the bottom is the word "Chums."
