Description

Flowers, 1976. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show three older women seated at a dining table with potted flowers on it. These images appear to have been captured in a home or apartment. Image 1 shows the three women seated at the table. The leftmost woman has medium-length wavy hair and is wearing glasses and a lapel with a large collar. The women at the center has a Beatles-style haircut and is wearing a blazer. The woman at the right is wearing a cardigan and a long shell necklace. There are several small potted flowers on the table. This image was captured from the height of the tabletop, suggesting that the photographer is crouching down. Image 2 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer is standing. Image 3 is very similar to image 2, but here the photographer has moved slightly to their right. Image 4 again shows the women at the table, but here the photographer is crouching down next to the woman with glasses and the jacket with a large collar. This woman is pruning the flowers. Image 5 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer is standing.
