Description

Wood and metal (copper) printer's plate used to transfer an image to paper. The copper plate has been engraved with an image and is intended for use in an offset printing press. The plate is attached to a wooden block with small nails so as to fit in the printing tray of the press. This plate was used in printing the Lacey School annual "Rosebud" and is a picture of the 1925 girl's indoor baseball team. First row (L to R) Janet Mitchell, Mable Russell, May Gillis, Linnea Peterson, Alice Shupe, Agnes Walsh, and Claire Kieffer. Second row Lillian Mitchell, Dorothy Watson, Mildred Mesplay, Freda Saucerwein, and Helen Kramer.
