School's Out, 1976. Thes two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two young people with both of their hands on a sign and a woman opening presents while surrounded by children. Image 43 shows two young people leaning forward with both hands on a sign made of brick and wood, as if being searched by police. A piece of wood at the top of the sign reads "NORTH THURSTON CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION." It appears that the sign is in fact the sign for North Thurston High School, with the real sign covered with the correctional institution sign. Image 43 was captured from the left-hand side of the sign. Image 44 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 1 shows the same scene as the previous two images, but here the image was captured fromt he right-hand side of the sign. Image 12 shows a woman with short, wavy hair seated at a table covered with presentsl. She is looking downward and opening one of the presents. She is surrounded by children. This image is oriented horizontally. Image 13 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 14 is similar to the previous two images, but here the woman is holding something in her hands. She is smiling. Images 15 and 16 are nearly identical to image 14.Made/Created
