Description

Black and white photo of an oil barge at Percival's Dock. The view of the barge is of one quarter. There is water in the foreground which reflects the barge. The barge has a flat deck on which are white cylindrical tanks and a hoisting boom. On the side of the hull is painted "W.T. and B. Co No. 61". Other ships and the far shore are visible in the background. There is a white border on all sides, and in the bottom border is "Olympia #1115 7/31/39". On the back is an oval stamp that says "certainteed guaranteed Aug 3 1939 process" and a stamp that says "10". The photo is inserted, along with a negative of the image, into a cream colored envelope that has typed "Olympia 7/31/39 Oil tank barge - quarter view". Stamped is "1115" and "indexed".
