Description

Black and white photo of a boat at Percival's Dock. There is water in the foreground and the boat has a black hull with gray deck railing. On the hull is painted "Skookum Chief".There is a metal superstructure on the deck that is called the elevator. Buildings are visible behind the boat, and wires can be seen in the sky above the boat. There is a white border on all sides, and in the bottom border is "Olympia #1132 8/7/39". On the back is an oval stamp that says "certainteed guaranteed Aug 11 1939 process". A stamp says "80". The photo is inserted, along with a negative of the image, into a cream colored envelope that has typed "Olympia 8/7/39 'Skookum Chief' at Percival's Dock Elevator lowered". Stamped is "1132" and "indexed".
