Description

Construction Sleater-Kinney and Pacific, 1977. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a sign alongside either Sleater-Kinney Road or Pacific Avenue in Lacey, Washington. There are no physical numbers on this strip, so the images will be assigned the numbers 1-3, with number one being the image on top and three being the image at the bottom. Image 1 shows a traffic sign to the right of a roadway. The sign's text concerns road work on Sleater Kinney Road and Pacific Avenue, and that College Street and 6th Avenue were to be used by thru traffic. A car is on the road to the left of the sign, and its front end is facing away from the camera. Image 2 is very similar to the previous image, but here there are no vehicles on the road immediately to the left of the sign. Image 3 is very similar to the previous two images, but here a pickup truck is visible on the road to the left of the sign.
