Description

Tennis and Mr. Rags Balloon, 1975. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a tennis match, and a hot air balloon which reads "MR. RAGS LTD a clothing store." Image 7 shows a man serving overhand on a tennis court. The man is approximately 100 feet from the camera. Image 8 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 9 is similar to the previous two images, but here the photographer has moved 20-30 feet to their right. Image 10 shows a hot air balloon with its basket on the ground in a parking lot. Text on the balloon reads advertises Mr. Rag's clothing store. Two people are standing next to the basket, and two other people are holding a rope attached to the balloon. A Mr. Rags van is partially visible behind the balloon's basket. The Richard's Roundhouse restaurant is visible in the right-hand side of the image background. This image is oriented vertically. Image 12 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 13 is very similar to the two previous images, but here the image is oriented horizontally. Image 14 shows four men posing for a photo in and around the balloon's basket. This image was captured from approximately 50 feet from the basket. Three of the men are wearing coveralls, and one is wearing overalls. There is a Fotomat picture development stand immediately behind the men and balloon.
