Lakefair, 1975. These two black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show people on carnival rides at the 1975 Capital Lakefair. Image 23 shows a woman and a child riding inside a bowl-shaped carnival ride. A man in glasses with a mustache is visible at the controls for the ride. Image 24 shows a different adult and child in the same bowl-shaped ride. Image 25 shows children on a ride in which they ride motorcycles on a track. The ride is on the left-hand side of the image. On the right-hand side of the image are adults and children watching the children on the ride. Image 26 appears to show the crowd watching the motorcycle ride, but from a different angle than in the previous image. A group of six little boys is roughly at the center of the image. In the lower-right quadrant of the image is a young man who appears to be controlling the ride. Image 27 shows children on the motorcycle ride. A little girl with pigtails wearing a floral-print dress is at the center of the image. Image 28 shows people walking past the ferris wheel at the carnival. The nearest people to the camera are a man carrying a child and a woman holding a blanket. There are people riding the ferris wheel.Made/Created
