Church Women United, 1973. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two women standing at various locations outside of a church. One of the women is younger and slightly taller than the other woman. This younger woman has medium-length hair and is wearing a coat over a half-turtleneck sweater. The other woman is the older and shorter of the two, and she is wearing glasses and a quilted jacket over a sweater. Image 19 shows the two women looking at each other and smiling. The younger woman is on the left and the older woman is on the right. The two women are shown from the mid-chest up. The tower of a church is visible between the two women. This image was captured from a low angle, and is looking upward at the two women. Image 20 is very similar to the previous image, but here the older woman is not smiling. Image 21 is very similar to image 20, but here the younger woman is also not smiling. Image 22 is similar to the previous images, but here both women are looking forward at something above the camera. Neither woman is smiling. Image 23 is similar to the previous images, but here the image was captured from a level even with the two women's heads. The front of the church, including the front door is visible in this image. The church's tower is not visible in this image. Both women are looking toward the left of the camera, and the older woman is smiling. Image 24 is very similar to the previous image, but here both women are looking at the camera and smiling. Image 25 shows the older woman on the left, and the younger woman on the right. This image was captured from a low angle, looking up toward the two women's faces. The women's head and bodies are turned partially toward the other woman. Neither woman is looking toward the camera. Image 26 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 27 is very similar to the previous two images, but here both women are looking toward the left. Image 28 shows the women standing to the left of the front door of the church. The door is elevated in relation to the two women. The women are turned partially toward each other. Printed in alternation along the bottom long edge of both of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
